Dani Behonick earned her B.S. in Biology with honors from Boston College in 2001 and performed her undergraduate thesis research in cancer biology at Harvard Medical School. She also completed an internship with Biogen Idec (Cambridge, MA) in the Department of Discovery Biology, where she studied potential targets for breast cancer therapy. Her doctoral studies in cell and developmental biology examined the role of extracellular matrix turnover during skeletal development and repair. She received her Ph.D from the Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program at the University of California, San Francisco in 2007.
